I have also added an Alexa widget in my blog.
Steps to add Alexa widget to blogger :
1. Go to Alexa widgets page here .
2. Select the widget which you want to display.
3. Fill up the details as per required and then copy the widget code.
4. Log in to Blogger dashboard and go to Layout >> Page Element.
5. Click on Add widget >> HTML and paste the code.
6. Save and you are done.

Your Alexa Ranking is solely dependent on the data received from your traffic's use of the Alexa toolbar; not your site's Alexa widget.
Factors impacting your Alexa Rank are visits and pageviews.

I still do not understand this Alexa Ranking. I don't see it making much difference anyway. You have said that if we update our site on a regular basis then alexa ranking will improve in a certain period of time. But then is it really that important? Can we trust it? seems another showpiece like page rank widget. But yes, it can fill some blank space on our sites...hehehe :) Thanks for this useful post.
